Kevin Kaczmara
Kevin Kaczmara’s legal practice is dedicated to criminal defence. He is a partner at Rusonik, O’Connor, Robbins, Ross & Angelini, LLP, which is Canada’s largest criminal defence law firm.
Kevin completed his undergraduate studies at McGill University in Montreal. He then graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. After law school, Kevin completed his articles at Rusonik, O’Connor, Robbins, Ross & Angelini, LLP, where he later became a partner.
Kevin regularly conducts trials in both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, but he has a particularly keen interest in jury trials and in trials involving the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. He also regularly conducts bail hearings, bail reviews, as well as cases under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoys playing soccer (football). He is more likely to receive a yellow card than he is to score a goal, however.
Additionally, Kevin frequently gives guest lectures on various topics in criminal law. Kevin is also a volunteer coach for the Ontario Justice Education Network (OJEN) high school mock-trial competition. He is proud to announce that, in both 2021 and 2025, his team won the Toronto city championships.
Kevin is fluent in both English and Polish. Born to an immigrant Polish family, he maintains strong ties to the Canadian-Polish community, and realizes the unique challenges faced by recent immigrants. Kevin is also conversational in Spanish and French.
